Services we provide

Specialty Medication Therapies

Specialty medications treat complex and chronic conditions that require clinical monitoring and specialized training for handling and/or administration. Many specialty medications are biologics – medications made from components of living organisms. Biologics target specific areas of the immune system to treat disease.

Sterile Compounded Medications

Pharmacy Specialists compounds sterile medication in a microbe-free environment following USP <797> standards. Sterile compounded medications are used for preparations that will be administered through an IV, as an injection, or directly into the eyes.

Immunoglobulin (IVIG/SCIG)

This treatment can boost antibody levels in people with immunodeficiencies, autoimmune diseases or inflammatory conditions. Immunoglobulin comes from plasma, which is a component of blood. It contains antibodies, which are proteins that help protect against infection. The goal of this therapy is to normalize a compromised immune system.

Antibiotic-Antifungal-Antiviral Therapy

IV, injectable, or oral medications used to treat and prevent acute illness from bacterial, fungal, or viral infection. Pharmacy Specialists only dispenses IV and injectable forms of this type of therapy.

Inotropic Infusions

This class of medication increases the force of heart contractions. This will help the heart beat stronger and increase the amount of blood pumped from the heart to the muscles and organs in the body. This therapy can only be given intravenously (by IV).

Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)

Parenteral nutrition is a way to receive nutrients by bypassing the digestive system. People who can’t use their digestive systems because of a condition can temporarily or permanently receive nutrition intravenously, through an IV catheter. Patients are closely monitored by a team of dietitians, pharmacists, and providers to ensure nutritional needs are met.
